Anubis, the Gatekeeper of the Underworld
Anubis in any version of the Egyptian Religion remains the Gatekeeper and Ruler of the Underworld. In ancient Egyptian invocations Anubis is invoked as the Guardian of the Veil (of the afterlife). Egyptians pray to Anubis in order to help and guard the Spirits of the Dead loved ones and also to help the Lost Souls to find their way in afterlife and be guided by his Divine Power. Anubis is believed to help even the ones who were forgotten and not buried properly.
