Crows brought Gifts to the man who's feeding them for years!

Stuart Dahlquist, is the man whose story would have become a great fairytale, was he born a couple of centuries ago. Living in Seattle didn’t make him forget what he really likes. Well, he loves to be surrounded by birds (something I can easily relate with), watch them flying and have them around him, since he was a little kid. Moreover, he kept caring and feeding them, for most of his life. What he just witnessed, however, came as a surprise, and a really, really sweat one. A family of Crows brought Gifts to him.

A Modern Fairytale

Let’s take this story from the beginning. So, this man took care of a pair of crows for the last 4 years. As the birds are nested on a tree in his backyard, he noticed that the crows had hatched two extremely cute baby-crows. Unfortunately, baby crows accidentally fell down from the tree. He felt obliged to take care of these babies, too. It seems that the Crows noticed this 56yo man’s interest for their lineage.

And you know what they say about crows, don’t you? Crows Never Forget!

Stuart Dahlquist, is sure that he can tell when they are hungry, as the crows try to show him vividly. They land on nearby branches, when they see him, shouting ‘Craw’ again and again until they get what they want.  He actually thinks that corn is not as delicious to them as people usually believe.

Crows brought Gifts

This amazing guy always felt wonderful, being accompanied by crows. In fact, he chose to be ‘their companion’, something like BFFs! It’s worth mentioning that none of the Crows he took care of, were ‘stolen’ from their nest. All birds had fallen down from their nests and/or had been hurt. He actually advices everyone not to take baby crows from their nests, ever!

Well, only few days ago, this man was surprised by seeing something weird. Crows brought him gifts! As he actually posted on twitter “We’ve been feeding a small family of four crows (mated pair and their two year old kids) for several years. Last week two days in a row they left these gifts, pull tabs threaded onto pine twigs. This isn’t only generous, it’s creative, it’s art. My mind is blown.”

It goes without saying that this photo went viral in a few minutes. In Magical Recipes Online we love crows. Let me remind you that they are sacred to Thoth, the Egyptian God of Magical Arts. We also believe that their aura is extremely potent around Witches. Working with Crows, or spotting them as Omens is very popular amongst Mages, Witches and Pagans.

Blessed All Be!
