Full Super Moon Aries October 17^th 2024 – Transform Fear into Power: A Plutonian Guide to Personal Growth

It’s a bold full Super Moon in Aries – the first culmination point of the recent eclipse season that arrives on Thursday October 17^th at 12.26 bst. The third Super Moon in a row and the closest to the earth it will be creating a powerful pull on both our psyches and Gaia’s Teutonic plates. With its ruler Mars in Cancer, it’s stirring up strong reactive emotions. It’s intense, volatile and uncomfortable as we re-visit what began at the new moon solar eclipse in Libra. 

We planted new seeds then, here comes the first resistance.  Can you truly step into your own power? Can you relate without losing yourself and without creating conflict?   South Node in Libra is completing out our collective karma from the current dominating culture.  It’s the end of an old you, an old identity. You’re graduating from the known to the unknown with the Sun shifting into Scorpio on October 23rd.  It’s an intense October and November.  You’re on probation.  It’s necessary to discern and discriminate around your inner self.  The more comfortable you are in your own skin the better you will navigate.  

Mars in Cancer yearns for emotional connection.  We need to allow for our own and others vulnerabilities in order for this to feel safe.  Yet it’s squaring this Moon causing communications to feel irritable and difficult.  Opposed Sun in Libra uncomfortable relationship conversations are continuing as we’re forced to confront and name our unmet needs and make meaningful change. Saturn in Pisces is about defining our psychic boundaries.  What’s yours and what’s not?   We’re discovering spiritual authority and maturity. Tune into your eternal Soul.  Align with this truth rather than the small ego self that gets attached to the impermanent 3D reality.  

With the full Moon conjunct, Chiron, the wounded healer it is aggravating all the ‘not-self’ parts of us that need integration and healing.  It is core-wound triggering for those experiencing their Chiron return (mid-life crisis) in Aries ie anyone currently aged between 46 and 52.  Chiron in Aries is an initiatory point.  It calls to account all the fragile ego reckonings in favour of our authentic Soul expression.  We need the push of Martian fire in our bellies to stomach the change required within each of us.  Fuel your fire with your heart wisdom, the courage of your truth.  Who do you need to become to hold space for your fullest expression? What does it feel like? sound like? look like? The only thing that will change our future, and the only thing that ever has, is a shift in our consciousness.  

We can feel at capacity with this Chiron conjunction. Yet, the Aries fire will continue to pummel us with strong emotional reactions wherever we haven’t healed.  It can make us feel unsettled and jittery. How can you consciously remove yourself from incendiary triggers? What do you need to focus on instead? Definitely don’t take it personally.  Look for the bigger lesson.  Have compassion for each other – we’re all reacting from our wounding as we learn to heal. 

Opposed the Sun in Libra, the ‘me/we’ axis can aggravate our differences, irritate our give and take ratios, but the deeper lesson is that when we truly own ourselves without apology (Aries) we find easy, harmonious collaborations with others (Libra). Everyone resonating in their own authenticity.  Mirroring our truth back to us. Ultimately this finds its own brilliant balance and unleashes the creative Soul within each of us.  It pierces through the masks of hypocrisy and dishonesty that are worn when we don’t feel safe to be ourselves.  This is the great change snapping at our reluctant heels.  It requires a deep de-conditioning before we’ll feel safe enough to be fully ourselves.

Great change precipitates great uncertainty. Without awareness and engaging our consciousness this can spiral into anxiety and stress.  Aries wants to forge ahead anxious to put it all right. In the rushing mistakes are made, Libra cautions balance, slowing down and debating the issue. Move beyond the old game of ping pong. The transcendence of duality calls for justice – it ‘just is’. Radical acceptance of the NOW.  Allow the flow to move from within.  Spell your world into being through conscious co-creation.  Embody it, envision it. We’re the creators of the new myths, the new stories we need. This is what it means to take respons(e)ability rather than be reactive to the external we were complicit in creating, whether consciously or not.  Gaian consciousness is also experiencing her own massive transformation.

The Sun continues to square Mars adding to the general tension. Humanity has been fighting for eons it doesn’t seem to have got us very far.  Could we? can we? extend a little compassion for ourselves and each other?  Could we begin to listen to each other and appreciate the others point of view – however, diametrically opposed to our own?

We’re radically revising our belief systems.  We need to shed the programmes that no longer serve our evolution.    

The presence of a cardinal Grand Cross comprising, Mars in Cancer, Pluto in Capricorn, Sun in Libra and Moon in Aries) adds its immensely powerful, initiatory energy to this period.  Collectively they jump start emotional outbursts around issues of power.  How’s your people pleaser coping?  Are you compromising, capitulating for an easy life or owning your sovereignty?  Make those executive decisions.  It’s last chance saloon, what choices does your heart want to make?  There’s tension, disagreements it’s not the best fun.  But we’re being forced into a new beginning and we have to own and accept where we’re feeling pissed off and not okay.  Focussing on mindful presence in the day to day helps. 

Venus is at her pinnacle in Scorpio making us aware of the mastery we are working towards.  What have you powerfully transformed that needs to be acknowledged this full moon?  Our world is changing before our eyes.  We’re each facing a dark night of the Soul.  8 billion people doing the same thing – it’s a lot! With Aries leading the charge our primal urge to survive will be activated.  It’s hard to find the balance point but nevertheless crucial we do so even when we don’t know the answers or exactly how matters will be resolved.

On the 3^rd/4^th of November a hard aspect between Mars and Pluto aggravates America’s Pluto return. Bang on the American election the many twists and turns of this global event have only just begun to play out.  It’s anyone’s guess the exactitude of the outcomes but it won’t be business as usual.  We’re healing the eons old victim consciousness.  The clear sword of astrological truth is being wielded.  Aries is fast and furious.  Take a breath, pause, think before leaping.  The way through is to stay present to what you are feeling and find safe ways to express it. 

The Sabian symbol for this Full Moon is: A Double Promise Reveals Its Inner and Outer Meanings” A promise may have deeper, more complex meanings than those initially apparent. Outward appearances can differ from inner realities, leading to conflicting rational and emotional responses. At the crisis 29^th degree it adds urgency to matters. Pluto is presenting us with our final exam. Will we pass? Have we managed to face our darkest shadows in the realm of ‘have to, musts and should’? In Capricorn these skeletons lurk in the closets of power and control, father issues, rules and regulations, status, everything that constitutes your moral compass.  

It’s the end of the old order and the beginning of the new.  The power transfer from hierarchical systems back to the people will be seen everywhere.  Small, local, de-centralised communities are the future.  The village network will sustain our evolution.

Aries Full Super Moon Warrior Ritual

What you’ll need:

– A red candle (Aries’ power colour)

– Matches or a lighter

– A small mirror

– A piece of paper and a pen

– Sage or palo santo for cleansing

– A small bowl of water

– A crystal (preferably red jasper or fire agate)

– Optional: Drumming music or a hand drum

1. Find a quiet space outdoors under the moonlight if possible. If not, by a window will do.

2. Cleanse your space with sage or palo santo. As you do, declare: “I cleanse this space of all energies that do not serve my highest good.”

3. Light your red candle, saying: “I ignite the fire of my inner warrior.”

4. Hold your crystal in your dominant hand and close your eyes. Take three deep breaths, visualizing yourself absorbing the courage and passion of Aries.

5. Now, it’s time to face yourself. Look into the mirror and say: “I see you, warrior of light. I honour your strength, passion, and courage.”

6. On your piece of paper, write down any fears or self-doubts that have been holding you back. Be brutally honest with yourself.

7. Hold the paper up to the moonlight and say: “Full Moon in Aries, illuminate my path. Help me transmute these fears into fuel for my journey.”

October 2^nd 2024 – Final Libra Solar Eclipse for Two Decades: How to Balance the Scales. A New Moon solar eclipse in airy Libra arrives October 2nd at 19.49 bst. As the final solar eclipse of its kind for nearly two decades, it calls us to recapitulate how far we’ve come in our mission to balance the scales. Solar eclipses are surprising, potentially paradigm shifting, undoubtedly powerful, energetic release points whose results unfold over 6 months. We last had an eclipse at this degree point 19 years ago.  Reflect back on what happened to you in late 2005/early2006 for clues as to how recurring themes may be showing up.

This time there’s no doubt about what needs closing out as the Moon gets up close and personal with our South lunar Node of the karmic past.  With the eclipse conjunct the Sun and Black Moon Lilith at 10 degrees of Libra and Mercury at 11 degrees, resistance is futile!  Accept the overwhelm and exhaustion with loving kindness and compassion for self.  Give yourself the unconditional warmth of a mother’s love and the inner icebergs of old wounds and armouring will begin to melt.

Libra is cardinal air it wants to initiate but here it is initiating the end of anything no longer serving your evolution.  We’re being pushed to close out the past in order to own our future by being authentically ourselves in the present.

Whilst generally Libra is all tact and diplomacy her ruler Venus is currently hanging out in intensely emotional Scorpio dialoguing with her inner fears. Libra excels at holding opposing ideas at the same time. She loves to play the diplomat, to mediate. But Venus has had enough of compromising power imbalances and is intent on calling them out.  She’s asking the difficult questions, delving deep into relationship patterns.  Asking us to recognise we’re enough just as we are.

What new choices are you ready to make?  With so much airy Libran energy the mind is going to be particularly active.  Be objective about what has been out of balance. Where have you compromised or given up?  Where have you not truly owned all of yourself and how can you do that in a new way going forward?

A grand Water trine (Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces) adds to the purification of the past allowing our inner currents to run clear and clean.  Connect the dots on old relationship patterns and face those unpleasant inner shadows.  There can be shame with Venus in Scorpio it’s all teaching us to let go of the lineage imprints, forgiving the younger self who made mistakes.  Feelings are coming to light that you know are true.  Face your fears and move on.  Take less forward. This is a private and internal cleanse with Venus in Scorpio.  Its main intention is your total transformation ensuring you never repeat those old patterns of relating.  Dive into the depths of your heart to know what you want and need from others and what you can authentically offer them in balance.  Libra is the Agent of the zodiac she loves to negotiate the win/win if at all possible.  With Mercury in residence, it’s time for new contracts to be drawn up in your world of relating.  This is a major re-set.

Squaring Mars adds an uncomfortable warring edginess to this eclipse.  With Black Moon Lilith making her defiant, rebellious presence felt. Wait until after the eclipse before making any major moves. A trine to Jupiter sweetens any poisoned chalices.

As a tribute to this powerful Eclipse, I’ve taken the cosmic weather report and viewed it through the lens of the Tarot to uncover the themes of the next six months.

The Four of Pentacles is the current anchor holding us back.  It’s all the places where we don’t feel safe.  Where we don’t trust life to support us. The inner programme tells us we have to do it all ourselves.  The deliberately designed media ‘fear porn’ continually erodes our ability to trust and connect with the world, with each other etc. This is not what owning your Sovereignty means.  This eclipse on the Libra/Aries axis is all about the balance between ‘me’ and ‘we’.  The paradoxical secret is that only by being truly ourselves can we collaborate successfully with another.  To do that we have to open the energetic pathways that the Four of Pentacles closes off through fear– the heart, the crown chakra and the soles of the feet.

The heavily Libran influenced cosmos shows up perfectly in the Two of Wands and the Two of Swords opposing each other.  In their own ways both our heart and our minds are blinded currently.  The pre-dominance of Libran Air energy is making us very heady and finding it more difficult to connect to the wisdom of our hearts. The Two of Swords is a blindfolded woman with her hands across her chest. There’s something she does not want to look at or admit to herself. Ask yourself what are you choosing not to see? What are you choosing to be blind to? There’s no direct eye contact in either image suggesting you are ignoring the nudges of your deeper intuition which is currently distracted.

The answer lies in the next card, symbolising the conditioned, socialised self is the major arcana, Death. If you were in any doubt that certain limited thinking, beliefs, relationships, attitudes etc are closing out then this archetype couldn’t put it more clearly.  Some things in your life need closure, especially your inner people pleaser. The easiest way through this ‘ego death’ is to feel the fear and allow the transformation to flow through.  This is a metamorphosis moment you will be birthing the new you over the course of the next six months. On the 3D level we’re closing out a 3000 plus year cycle of hierarchical control. It won’t happen overnight but we can all feel the acceleration of the unravelling.

At the Soul level we have 3 cards from the suit of Swords.  Libra is associated with Swords as they represent the air element.  At the heart, we find the Three of Swords denoting heartbreak. In the re-negotiating of our personal boundaries and unmet needs there may well be relationship endings and separations.  Libra is the ruler of relationships and the seventh house.  But be mindful that this is Swords not Cups.  That is, it is the stories we tell ourselves, what we make things mean that causes us pain more than the events themselves.  Yes, we have suffering in this world but it is designed to break us open to ever more capaciousness for love.  When we assign it meaning from the mind, we entrap ourselves in limiting, painful story.

This message is reiterated by the Ten of Swords in the karmic past (very Libran South Node eclipse).  He represents ‘death of the old self’.  The old conditioned beliefs hold on tight as our mind loves the known and fears the unknown.  But we can only evolve through facing the fear of that yet to be born. Let the seeds of the new stories be birthed through you during this eclipse portal. The King of Swords has taken up residence in the house of abundance.  He asks us to get serious. Clear the clutter, take response ability, simplify processes. Use the power of air’s rational logic to get your arrow focused and clear. Cut to the chase and make those powerful clear decisions you know need making.

At the Spirit level we have the major acana card, Strength.  We all have a wild side and a domesticated one.  The Lion teaches us to have the courage of our convictions to encourage our wild side to balance out our tameness. Libra seeks balance in all things. We can only find that balance if we are willing to remove the blindfold and see our reality for what it is.  Lean into your fears.  Use those airy Libran swords to pierce through your old stories.

When we embrace our courage, The Knight of Cups is given space to birth the Holy Grail in our unconscious minds flooding us with the potential for breaking open into a greater capacity for love. Followed by the Knight of Pentacles he asks us to take that love and create the reality we dream of. But these are young knights, just beginning thier quest. Like the New Moon eclipse, it symbolises a new quest in your life that will unfold over the next six months.  Eager, young knights set out with the best of intentions so ensure you set yours as this new chapter yawns open.

Our outcome cards are the Eight of Wands and The Emperor. The Eight of Wands portends divine inspiration. A lightbulb moment. When we take the jaguar leap towards the courageous path of our own true nature we open to Spirit and synchronicity in a new way.  We achieve flow state and life unfolds effortlessly. This is the highly evolved divine masculine.  The one who takes full response ability for all his choices once he has taken wise council from others. New Moon Ritual to Celebrate the Solar Eclipse in Libra (October 2^nd 2024)

A Solar Eclipse is a powerful cosmic event that signifies a profound opportunity for new beginnings, transformation, and rebalancing energies. As this Solar Eclipse occurs in Libra, the focus is on harmony, relationships, balance, and justice. Libra, an air sign, encourages us to explore how we relate to others and ourselves, seeking to create equilibrium in all areas of life. This ritual guides you to harness the transformative energy of the eclipse for self-reflection, intention-setting, and calling in harmony and balance.

Materials Needed:

– A white or silver candle (symbolizing clarity and illumination)

– A black candle (symbolizing shadow work and transformation)

– Sage or palo santo for smudging

– Crystals: rose quartz (for love and harmony) and clear quartz (for clarity)

– A small mirror

– Paper and pen

– A bowl of water

– A sacred space or altar decorated with symbols of Libra (such as feathers, scales, or the colour pink)

Begin by cleansing your space and yourself using sage or palo santo. As the smoke rises, visualize it clearing away any stagnant or negative energies, allowing only clarity and balance to remain. Walk around the space and wave the smoke over your body, paying special attention to your heart and third eye.

Place the candles, crystals, mirror, and bowl of water on your altar or in front of you. Arrange symbols of Libra, such as feathers or images of scales, to create an environment that reflects the energy of harmony and balance.

Open space by invoking the energies of the four cardinal directions South, West, North and East and calling upon your own guides.

Sit comfortably before your altar and take a few deep breaths. Place your hands over your heart and set your intention for this ritual and what you are releasing and calling in for the next 6 months. Think about the relationships in your life—both with others and with yourself—that need rebalancing. Consider what you wish to release and what you wish to invite.

Allow the water to hold these intentions of release, symbolizing emotional cleansing and the fluidity of change.

Hold the rose quartz in one hand and the clear quartz in the other. Close your eyes and visualize the energy of these crystals merging—rose quartz bringing love, harmony, and compassion, and clear quartz amplifying your intentions for clarity and balance.

Before closing the ritual, give thanks to the spirits of the four directions, your guides, and the energies of the Solar Eclipse. Say:

“I give thanks to the East, South, West, and North for your guidance and protection.”

“I give thanks to the Sun, Moon, and the energies of Libra for your presence and support in my journey toward balance.”

Blow out the candles, symbolizing the end of the ritual and the sealing of your intentions. As you do so, imagine the smoke carrying your intentions to the universe.

Full Moon Pisces Lunar Eclipse Shamanic Ritual

A Lunar Eclipse in Pisces is a powerful time for deep emotional release, heightened intuition, and spiritual transformation.

This shamanic ritual will guide you in honouring the energies of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces, using elements of water, symbolism of the moon, and connection with the spiritual realms.

Materials Needed

– A bowl of water (preferably from a natural source like a stream, ocean, or rainwater)

– Moonstone or amethyst (for their connection to intuition and spiritual clarity)

– White candle (symbolizing clarity and illumination)

– Sage or palo santo for smudging

– Journal and pen

– Sea salt (for purification)

– Sacred space or altar (decorate with symbols of Pisces like seashells, fish, or anything representing water)

– A mirror (symbolizing reflection and self-awareness)

Begin by cleansing your space and yourself using sage or palo santo. As the smoke rises, visualize it clearing away any stagnant or negative energies, allowing only clarity and positive energy to remain.

Place the bowl of water, the candle, moonstone/amethyst, and the mirror on your altar or in front of you. Surround the space with any symbolic items related to the moon and water, such as shells, blue or white cloth, or images of the ocean.

Stand in the centre of your space and call upon the four cardinal directions, East, South, West and North. Close your eyes and imagine a circle of protection surrounding you, connecting the four directions.

Towards the culmination of this month, both the Southern Delta Aquarids and the Alpha Capricornids meteor showers are anticipated to simultaneously reach their dazzling crescendo during the nights of July 30 and July 31. Meteor showers are a fascinating celestial display that occurs when our planet crosses paths with the trail of dusty debris left behind by passing comets. These showers are typically named after a nearby star or constellation from where the meteors seem to originate in the sky.

Rare double Meteor Shower: Tonight, July 30-31 it will Rain Stars

During the upcoming double meteor shower, Earth is poised to intersect the orbits of two comets- the comet 96P/Machholz which produces the Southern Delta Aquariids peaking from July 29-30, and the comet 169P/NEAT which leads to the Alpha Capricornids reaching their peak from July 30-31.

The Southern Delta Aquarids are recognized for their abundance of faint meteors, offering stargazers a potential visual treat of up to 20 shooting stars per hour streaking across the night sky during their peak. On the other hand, the Alpha Capricornids are known for producing slow-moving, colorful, and bright meteors, an experience that could add five more shooting stars per hour to the celestial spectacle.
