The Perseid Meteor Shower 2017

Although last year’s Perseid Meteor Shower was more miraculous that before the Perseid Meteor Shower 2017 is pretty spectacular too. It will rain 80-100 falling stars per hour. In 2016 the rate was increased by 150 up to 200 beautiful falling stars per hour. Nature has scheduled a show that we should not miss.

According to NASA meteor expert Bill Cooke, “the meteor shower’s actual peak is around 1 p.m. EDT Aug. 12, which means that the night before and the night after will both have good rates; Cooke said the show would be slightly better in the predawn hours of Aug. 12, but that there’d be a decent show both nights.” Bear in mind that the Perseid Meteor Shower 2017 is close to the Full Moon – Lunar Eclipse. This will make it more magical as it will be drenched with the cosmic energies of the Sturgeon Full Moon but on the other hand it will be more difficult to spot the stars because of the Light.

Though sporadic shooting stars adorn the dark sky on any given night of the year, meteor showers are usually annual events with really impressive magical impact. This meteor shower derives its name from the constellation Perseus, because the meteors seem to stream from this realm of the sky.

The Magic of Perseids

Legend has it that Perseid Meteor shower is literally magical fire. Perseus is slayer of the powerful gorgon Medusa and rescuer of Queen Cassiopeia. Perseus son of Zeus took her head and gave it to Olympus only to become the powerful shield of Goddess Athena. Perseus was believed to ride the magnificent winged horse, Pegasus.

Some Catholics refer to the Perseids as the “tears of Saint Lawrence” who was burnt alive, suspended in the sky but returning to earth once a year.

Ptolemy, the Greek founder of Modern Astorlogy & Astronomy, wrote that the Gods peer down at the earth from between the Celestial spheres.

In these celestial models the apparent motions of the planets and the other stars are accounted for “by treating them as embedded in rotating spheres made of an aetherial, transparent fifth element – aka quintessence – like bright gems set in orbs. Ptolemy stated that while this happens, stars sometimes slip out of this gap, flashing towards the earth. Shooting stars are hence an indication that the Gods are now paying attention to whatever you would ask for.

General Spiritual Advice and tendencies of the week:

This week the spiritual advice is to turn inwards and work there with ourselves in order to “walk” towards our goals. Especially the long term and life goals. Although it’s more of a spiritual and mental procedure, there is nothing saying we should halt our wordy efforts to the same end. On the contrary, acting now is probably a good thing to do as well. Our subconscious is especially active this period. The upcoming Lunar Eclipse’s energies are now strong and this also helps forming the whole atmosphere of the week.

So, in general, self-exploring, self-understanding, and then finding out or clarifying our goals and our paths is what we should do. In some cases, to do this we may need to deal with some strong tendencies of ours that hold us back or keep us away from whatever we want to achieve. Most of you, you’ll find this week’s vibration strongly related with the previous one’s. There is a slight difference though. Last week we mostly had to clean the path. This week we start walking it. Meditation, visualisation and self-hypnosis are very harmonious with the vibrations of this week, so I would suggest you make the best of them now.

Target a life full of abundance. This doesn’t only refer on money. Abundance of love, happiness, etc are included. But money too. Start creating your overall happy and balanced life. Buddha taught us the affirmation “I am my own lord throughout heaven and earth”. This should be your mantra and target this week. You feel the need to take full control of your life and become successful. Visualise this success. They key is the pleasant feeling you feel in being successful. don’t focus as much on the achievements. They are not motivating enough. If you manage to become a loving “lord” rather than a “tyrant” you won’t have anything to fear.

Spiritual Advice for Sagittarius:

Keep your focus firm on your goals and especially the life goals. Some fears may surface or resurface. This is just because you haven’t dealt with them properly. Deal with them now. Also, healing your sorrows, and removing junks of any kind is an important part of what you should do. You carry a lot of unnecessary burden with you. See what you carry and doesn’t support your goals and abandon it. Throwing away junks and useless things you have in your home is a nice way to symbolise your intentions. If you don’t feel like working mentally or magically towards this end, at least do that. Gifting things you don’t need to people who need them will give you a sense of joy in the act of removing your blocks, so it is an advisable thing to do.

Spiritual Advice for Capricorn:

Find time to relax. Even if you do nothing more than that, do that. It is important. But if you feel up to, work a little more. Realise that everything in your life can become better and things seem worse than they are. At least most of them do. Start healing and bettering what you can, but do it in a relaxed way. Don’t overburden yourself and your schedule. On the contrary, create a more relaxed schedule for your everyday life in general. Not just for this week. But of course, creating one for this week is a start. What you do is focusing too much to each and every tree and lose the forest. You focus in your everyday tasks and loose focus of your life goals. You were encouraged to learn you have every right to be lucky and happy. Now visualise your life in a way supporting this. See yourself as happy and lucky both in your everyday life and in your life as a whole. And keep offering some silliness and meaningless happiness to yourself. Dust off your Wands fellow witches, as by the end of 2017 we are going to have 2 more New Harry Potter Books! Probably by Autumn – end of it – the books are going to be published so that anyone can enjoy!

2 New Harry Potter Books!

Τhe two forthcoming books named as:  “Harry Potter — A Journey Through the History of Magic” and “Harry Potter — A History of Magic” promise a “fascinating exploration of magical history” for all the Harry Potter fans. Just to be clear thought, these books are by no means sequel to the Harry Potter enchanting series! But more like guides to the Universe of the young Wizard.

The two editions are to be presented by Bloomsbury (the British publisher of the “Harry Potter” series) as part of an exhibition at the British Library. That exhibition will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first book in the “Harry Potter” series, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”. This book was meant to re-ignite the thirst for magic to all human race and for this (and so much more) thank you J.K Rowling.

Hands on New Harry Potter Books.

According to the British Library: “Harry Potter — A History of Magic” is the official book of the library’s exhibition. It is a product of team work or as they officially call it  a “collaboration between Bloomsbury, J.K. Rowling and the brilliant curators of the British Library.” In its 256 pages it unfolds the mysterious events of the Wizarding World, under the nose of the Muggles.  The Book will shed some liight about what was happening in this magical land. Also it will include “exclusive manuscripts, sketches and illustrations from the Harry Potter archive,” according to the British Library.  YAY!

The Second book:  “Harry Potter — A Journey Through the History of Magic” is equipped with “packed with unseen sketches and manuscript pages from J.K. Rowling.” This new Book promises to take “readers on a journey through the Hogwarts curriculum!” The book will guide us through magical lessons “including Herbology, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy, Divination and more! ” Pretty much like Magical Recipes Online to be frank but of course in an imaginary way.

Although we should note that J.K. Rowling indeed studied Witchcraft and much information in the books are part of this hard work. Remember AVADAKEDAVRA? It is a realy spell! See here more!  It will also include an Easter Egg for all the Harry Potter funs. When you are centring yourself, you are finding a place that is within you and it’s from this place you will be able to focus the energy you wish to ground. [I have found through personal experience that if you ground before centring you have nowhere to focus it you end up with the energy roaming around your body with nowhere for it to “leave” for the Earth from.]

Centring is a process that strives to bring all the stray energy from your body into a single place within you. The stray energy will be drawn to a place of your own personal power. Once the energy has been collected at your centre you will start to feel the concentrated energy and it’s at this point you can focus the energy through your body and into the Earth

What is Centring?

In all the books that I have read centring has always described in vague and watery terms. When you are a solitary and have no one to ask it can be extremely frustrating. How can you learn to do something when no one will explain it clearly or use mystifying language to romanticize it?

Buckland says this about centring:

“The process of focusing on your spiritual centre, allowing mundane issues to fall away leaving calm and serenity”

RavenWolf says this about centring:

“To find your ultimate peaceful calm at the centre of your being…the still point – the absolute moment of calm when you feel you are one with the universe.”

These are two of the most famous and world renowned pagan authors and neither of them actually explain what your centre is, or how you are able to find that place. Their words are pretty but when you are look to them for practical help they aren’t too helpful. One of the things I strive to do with this article is to de-mystify the process of centring and to explain it clearly.

How to Begin…

To begin, you need to ask yourself some simple questions, but you need to answer them honestly because you won’t much; if any success otherwise.

  1. Where do you instinctively feel your energy come from?

2. Where do you feel your emotions first come from?

3. Where do you feel your “gut instinct” come from?

When you are relaxed and let your mind roam over the different areas of your body, where doesn’t it feel like a storehouse of energy is sitting there? Many people find their centre is placed on or around one of the seven major energy centres in the body– the Chakras. Through these energy centres the physical and spiritual bodies overlap and interact. For quite a lot of people their Solar Plexus Chakra and that localised area is where their centre resides. For other’s their Brow Chakra is the location of their Centre. My personal centre is just below my heart chakra, low on my breast bone. This is where I send healing and energy, and when I work with crystals. It is also where I “pick up” energy when I am working with other witches.

Use the questions above to help you find your own centre. Also don’t be afraid if it takes a few tries to get it right. Don’t be in a hurry, take your time. It can take a while to be able to pinpoint that centre of your being. It took me over five years to finally say for certain that my centre on low on my breast bone

The Gift of Gods to Cancer is loyalty. They are extremely loyal to their friends, family and everything the hold sacred to them. A typical cancer tries his/her best to help as they give their best to all they love. MYTH OF VIRGO:

The sixth of zodiac signs, Virgo, is inspired by the Legend of Persephone. She was the Daughter of Great goddess of Earth, Demeter. Hades, the mighty kind of the Underworld, kidnapped Persephone and married her. However, Demeter was so devastated that she asked from Zeus, to bring her back. Zeus, Hades and Demeter, decided that for 6 months Persephone would be on the Earth, and for the other 6 months (from Autumn equinox to Spring equinox) to the Underworld. 

The Gift of Gods to Virgo is Adaptability. Persephone, the beautiful wife of king Hades and Queen of the Underworld is half a year on earth and the other half in the Underworld. This shows the adaptability of Virgo. You can put them even in the Underworld and still find a way to live as Queens (and Kings of course). Of course it doesn’t come easy but they will manage it! Snow pyramid “discovered” in Antarctica

A Group of researchers “discovered” a Snow pyramid in Antarctica. This is something that could change forever what we know about Human History! Stunning photos of what appears to be a pyramid covered in snow were “discovered” with Google Earth somewhere in Antarctica.

A New Amazing “Discovery” ?

These amazing photos are baffling scientists around the world. The pyramid-shaped structures are located in the Ellsworth Mountains. Antarctica was not always covered in snow and ice. Once was a very welcoming place. Few years ago back in 2009, a research group examined samples taken from the frozen Antarctica and discovered pollen. Moreover, the scientists were suggesting the temperature was much higher than the frosty -45-50’C. Probably the temperature was around 20’C.

This is not the first time that a “snow Pyramid” is “discovered” in the frozen continent. The British Antarctic Expedition of 1910-1913 has also found one. Allegedly it was then kept secret from the public. Conspiracy theorists claim that US Secretary of State, John Kerry, visited Antarctica on January 2017 to visit … an “alien base” located within the pyramid.
Although the video suggests that the images have been taken from Google Earth, this has not yet been proved. The video was posted by Third Phase of the Moon. A YouTube channel dedicated to conspiracy theories.

Furthermore, these amazing photos of this “Snow Pyramid” which are believed to be taken from Google Earth “reveal” the existence of the four-sided structure. The true is that it does bear an uncanny resemblance to the Egyptian pyramids. Moreover, Pyramids were built thousands of years ago. The only question is: “is this a pyramid or a pyramid shaped mountain?”

Atlantis all over again?

Many believe in the existence of an advanced civilization which was present in Africa, Europe, Asia including Antarctica. Pyramids are found in many ancient civilizations and this is a fact. It may be the link that connects us all. It may be Atlantis, the lost civilization (click here to read about the latest discovery about Atlantis)

If this “snow pyramid” structure is indeed “man-made” it will change forever the history of human race as we know it. Do not think that it’s going to be easy discovering the truth about this new “finding”. Although some argue that this “pyramid” is just it “is a nunatak. This is simply a peak of rock sticking out above a glacier or an ice sheet” reported in IFLscience .

It’s easy to say that this is just a mountain but the truth might surprise us! A perfume to make you attractive

Summer has come (for the Northern Hemisphere) and many want to have some fun while on vacations. Here I’m going to give a simple spell to help you do exactly that by means of a perfume. You don’t need to be on vacation to use this spell, of course, but you need to go out and be around people for this spell to work. But let’s see the spell first, and then I’ll explain how to use it in order to give you the most desirable results.

What you need for the spell:

You need only a perfume of any kind. Buy a new perfume you think it’s exciting and alluring, or buy a new bottle of your usual one, if you think this works the best for you. You can also use magic oils or perfumes that intend to attract attention or love. Whatever you use, it must have a strong radiating smell, and, preferably, its smell should last long. If not, always have the bottle with you to re-apply it.

Is sandalwood amongst the ingredients? That’s even better. If not, try adding a few drops of the essential oil or some ground sandalwood. Even sandalwood’s essential oil alone (diluted, of course) will work fine. If for any reason you don’t want to add any sandalwood to your perfume, at least smoke it with some.

Casting the spell:

Now, have the perfume in front of you and sit comfortably looking straight to it. If you want you can use some sandalwood incense. This will empower the spell even more, and also help you smoke the perfume if you haven’t used sandalwood in it.

Using your imagination, but with open eyes, see the “spirit” of the perfume. In other words, see the personification of the perfume’s energy. Then say to it 9 times:

“Make me desirable like a diamond. Make me shine. Make my speech sweet like nectar. Make me attractive.”

Then be silent for a few moments, looking at the “spirit” and letting understand your words. Then repeat the same 9 times. Once again give time to the “spirit” to understand your words.

Repeat this until you feel the “spirit” has understood you and agreed. That’s it. Whenever you are using the perfume, after applying it, say:

“Thank you for making me desirable like a diamond. Thank you for making me shine. Thank you for making my speech sweet like nectar. Thank you for making me attractive.”

How to use the perfume:

Apply the perfume the way you normally do, but also apply some behind your ears, at the neck line and in the inner part of your elbows. Then get out and have some fun!

It is said that you’ll be alluring to whomever smells the perfume. That means you have to be amongst people for the spell to work. And also, that’s why you need a long lasting radiating smell for better results.

So, you are at a bar and you see somebody you like. Go near them. Let them smell the perfume to increase your chances.

Are you shy and don’t dare to make the first move? Why not use an encouraging magical oil – like Crucible of Courage – for a perfume? If so, have some on a piece of cotton with you, so you can smell it before going after the person of your interest.

You want when you’ll be “in bed” with the person you’ll find to give extra care to a specific part of your body? Make sure you’ll apply some of the perfume there.

You want to be alluring to only a specific kind of people? Have a picture of a somebody symbolising these qualities where the perfume “rests” in your home. Don’t use this perfume or any love spell to compel a certain somebody for black magic always harms the user.

An important reminder:

This is not a spell to move the wheel of fortune in order to bring you the perfect person. It is one to help you enjoy the opportunities at hand. But, you can cast a spell to find the love of your dreams and then using this perfume start going out. Justin Trudeau legalizes Magic

According to Broadly, Justin Trudeau has ordered a broad revision to the Canadian criminal code which legalises all occult and ritual acts. Believe it or not, until today section 365 of Canada’s criminal code states that it is actually illegal to “pretend to exercise or to use any kind of witchcraft, sorcery, enchantment, or conjuration and tell fortunes”. Really? It’s 2017 for crying out loud!
 

“The witchcraft provisions in the criminal code reflect a culture, perspective, and legal system of an entirely different era. They are reminiscent of a time when women who did not conform to societal norms were not only shunned, but penalized. These provisions also reflect a primarily Christian mindset, where non-Christian traditions, including what we now may refer to as Wicca, totemism, or animism, or other traditions, were demonized as being evil. It’s perhaps no surprise then that even today these provisions are used primarily against women or against people who follow non-mainstream religious traditions.”  Omar Ha-Redeye, a Toronto-based lawyer, commented on Broadly.

Instant Karma Cleansing

Karma Cleansing! Yeah! But what is it? Karma, although a spiritual tenet, is also a universal law which was demonstrated by Newton as the Law of Action and Reaction. As the name itself means, Karma (Sanskrit: Deed) is the reaction of what we have already done, though or felt.

Karma in Witchcraft

Through the thousands of years we live on this or other realms, we have activated a series of events, like a chain reaction. Every moment that we breathe, we act, think and feel causing a change in the astral and physical plane. This change of energy will later – or instantly – be converted to actual events which will become our reality.

The Threefold Law of Wicca

In Wicca, Karma has been substituted by the Law of Three – the Threefold Law. It clearly states that whatever energy a person puts out into the world, be it positive or negative, will be returned to that person three times. Both concepts (Karma and the Threefold Law) describe the universal Laws of cause and effect and therefore encourage the individual (magical practitioner or not) to act in an upright way.

We have helped, we have poisoned, we have killed and we have cured. We have all been sinners and we have all been saints. Probably this is the reason why we are blessed or cursed by certain characteristics or situations in our lives. Have you ever wondered “why this happen to me?” Have you ever ask yourself “why these patterns keeps repeating itself in my life?”

Mystics, priests of the ancient religion, wizards and occultists are pretty sure that in our past lives we could’ve used intentionally or unintentionally the dark paths of magic. In other words, we could’ve all been dark wizards at some point whether we knew or we didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into, the outcome of our actions me still affect our lives. In other words, many of our today’s problem are a result of our misuse of Magic in past lives – or even this one. Being an evil wizard / witch ALWAYS comes with a price.

So the question is:  “can we relieve ourselves from our bad karma?” The answer is yes we can!

The following spell can erase the bad karma and break the curses and evil spells you cast in the past (but not the karma of our actions, although this is pretty big too). By doing so you free yourself from all the pain and darkness that all this evil magic may have caused to you and others. We are all connected by a higher force, like we are part of the same cosmic network, like a giant spider’s web.

When we cast a curse, we intentionally or unintentionally mean to harm ourselves. And although this may take some time, it ALWAYS backfires to us. This is why, Magical Recipes Online ALWAYS discourages our readers and fans to cast black magic. Black Magic is the intentional or unintentional magical practice which either aims to cause harm, employs dark forces (ie. Demons), or intents to intervene with a human soul’s free will (ie. Love binding).

How to free yourself from Bad Karma.

And now the Spell to get rid of bad karma! The Karma Cleansing Spell!

Time to Cast the Spell:

Saturn (also known as the Planet of Witches), traditionally rules the past karma while the Sun creates the future. So, if you want to release yourself of all negative vows, curses, spells and deed, then try this simple spell on a Saturday night (Saturday is the Day of Saturn).

Before the Spell:

Take a shower to cleanse your body end aura. You can use a Ritual Cleansing bath with salts empowered with sacred scents. You can get bath salts from our shop too.

Casting the Spell:

Take a white candle and anoint it with a banishing/cleansing or blessing oil (which you can also buy from our magic shop). If you prefer to use plain oils, lavender essential oil (always use diluted essential oils), olive oil or sunflower oil will do the job.   Anoint the candle from middle to bottom pointing away from yourself and then turn around the candle and anoint it from middle to wick, again pointing away from you. While doing so, concentrate on your wish to be released from all the negativity you’ve brought in your life and your karma.

Chanting:

Then light the candle and preferably some banishing, cleansing or blessing incense. Watch for a little while the flame of the candle while relaxing your body and your mind.   Chant “hum” for 27, 54 or 108 times.   Then say three times:   “I now wish to be free from my old deeds. I surrender myself to the Divine Grace (or any God you trust or any supreme power you believe in) asking all my mistakes to be undone and all my bad karma to be cleansed.”   Keep watching the flame and relaxing your mind allowing the Divine Grace (or any entity or power you have summoned) to act on you and and on your karma.

When you feel ready, chant “ram” for 27, 54, or 108 times.   Stay by the candle for as long as you feel like. Then let it burn to the end. Try not to interfere with it but always take all fire safety measures and never let a candle burning unwatched.   That’s it. Go to sleep and be awaken in a brighter new future.

I have been writing about Witchcraft for around 5 years, and the subject of Book of Shadows has come up the most in questions so I have created a a little FAQ of some of the most common questions I have been asked over the last 5 years.

Let”s see all about the Book of Shadows.  Q: What is a Book of Shadows?  A: A Book of Shadow is a book that accompanies you on your journey.     Q: Why do Witches have a Book of Shadows?  A: Your Book of Shadows is a book that contains knowledge you have gathered, spells and rituals you have noted down or written yourself, your thoughts and feelings; it is essentially a record of your of magical experiences, and place you can keep details of what you think you are going to need in the future.

Q: Do you have to have a Book of Shadows to be a Witch?

A: No, you don”t “have” to have a Book of Shadows, but it can make life a little easier if you are able to write things down such as thoughts, feeling and dreams as they happen.

Q: Does a Book of Shadows have to look like it does on Charmed?

A: Not at all. You don”t “have” to have a big book like on Charmed. A Book of Shadows can be a notebook, a pile of paper, a digital file on your computer, a Facebook page or album, or a specially created book like my own wooden Rainbow book.

Q: What can be added to a Book of Shadows, it is only for spells?

A: You can actually add anything that you want into your Book of Shadows. It can be spells, rituals, correspondences, deities, herbs, plants, divination, dreams, prayers….the list is endless and entirely up to you.

Q: Do you have to decorate the pages?

A: Only if you wish to. Your Book of Shadows is entirely personal and you can have it however you want. Some of mine are pure text  with no decoration, while others have a little rainbow flair, others are rainbow overload.

Q: I am new to Witchcraft/Paganism/Wicca, can I have a Book of Shadows?

A: Yes, you don”t have to be a veteran of the craft to have one. You can start your Book of Shadows whenever you are ready. If you want one from day one, you can. It”s a record of what you learn, and when you are new, there is so much to learn that a Book of Shadows can be very helpful.

Q: Why is it so important to have a Book of Shadows?

A: It”s a collection of your experiences on your journey, it is also an expression of your craft. When I look back through my older Books I can see how I have changed over the years, and I can see how I have changed as a woman and as a Witch.

Q: I love your Book of Shadows, can I have one like yours?

Yes, you can. However your Book of Shadows should be a reflection of your path, your journey and your personality. You will develop a style that is all yours.

When you look on the internet you will find so many different styles, sizes, shapes and types. My Facebook page and group have become a Book of Shadows of sorts. I have multiple notebooks, my large A4 wooden rainbow book, and I have a box file full of information that won”t fit in the rainbow book.

ADVICE: The best advice I can give from my own experience is not to rush in head first and overwhelm yourself with decoration. The information is the more important, get that in and decorate around it
