Witches love to be accompanied by their favorite animals. Hence, there have been developed ways to invite and summon animals which may later become their familiars – animals who live together with witches connected with a sacred bond. The Beetle
The Beetle is an unassuming little thing which can easily be overlooked, and often go unseen as they just go about their business. There tends to be three types of reactions when it comes to these amazing insects.
1) Ewwww… disgustiing
2) They aren’t paid any attention
3) Beetles are sooo cool.
It is a shame when they are called pests and end up getting drowned in pesticides, when they have an important part to play in the grand scheme of things. I wonder; would the Beetle be seen differently if people knew how powerful and spiritually gifted make them less gross, frightening or creepy. The Beetle is one of the most diverse groups in the animal kingdom – did you know there are over 350,000 different species? The Beetle can be found in almost every country in the world; this makes them one of the most widespread too. Beetles have overwhelming difference between the various species; size, shape, diet, reproduction… the list goes. The beetle is actually a remarkble little thing. Most of the different species of Beetles have the same spiritual/esoteric qualities, and it’s these common qualities that tie all of the species toegther.
Most Beetles are made up of three separate parts – the head, the abdomen and the thorax – which are protected by a hard shell. Thi hard shell protects the beetle from external threats; it also repreents the Beetles strength and powerful qualities. The strength of the beetle isn’t always obvious, it is a quiet strength that goes unseen or underestimated. They say size isn’t everything, and in the case of the Beetle this couldn’t be more true. Even though they come in plethora of shapes and sizes the Beetle is still very small… Small but mighty. For example, the Rhinocerous Beetle is a fantastic example because it can move something that is equlivalent to 600 times it’s own weight – to put this into perspective this would be the same as you helfting around something weighing 60 tonnes; putting this into context one of the blocks of Rose Granite in the Kings Chamber of the Great Pyramid weighs 40 tonnes. Amazing isn’t it? The Beetle is a community driven creature and it’s these communities that allows them to build vast cities and colonies. These structures are spectacular and a result of the whole Beetle community working as one – much like the Ancient Egyptians working together when they embarked on their breaktaking monuments, temples and tombs.
Earlier I mentioned that Beetles have an important role to play in our eco-system; they are the ones that eat the feces, decay and other types of waste… and Beetles are big eaters. Think about it, if we didn’t have beetles, we would be living in a world that is covered in waste and bi-products it would be quite disgusting. The idea of wall to wall poop, puke and anything else isn’t too nice; but thanks to the humble Beetle we don’t have to live that way. This role makes us look at what we are putting out into the environment and take responsibility for it; it makes us take a hard look at what we are doing with our rubbish. Do we do enough to recycle? Do we take enough responsibility for the plastics in the oceans? Do we take responsibility for all the chemical wastes we send out? Can we do more? Do you recycle everything you can? Do you compost food waste?

The Spider Grandmother
According to Hopi religion, the Spider Grandmother, or the Spider Woman is the creator of all human kind. She is actually related to Gaia, the Mother Nature, or Great Goddess. Also known as the great protector and helper of humans (according to Navajo tradition) the Spider Grandmother dates back at least to Teotihuacan – pre-Columbian America, where she is depicted as the Great Goddess.
Also known as Asibikaashi, the Spider Grandmother is believed protect the infants and all children of the Land. To honor Her and conjure her blessings, people in these lands created charms which have been evolved to what is widely known as dreamcatchers.
The Dreamcatcher
As the tribes spread all around America, people believed that Asibikaashi was unable to effectively protect all her children. This is why people used these charms – or better portals of Asibikaashi from which she could extend her blessings and protective powers.
Frances Theresa Densmore was an American anthropologist and ethnographer who noticed and researched these charms writing that ‘even infants were provided with protective charms. Examples of these are the “spiderwebs” hung on the hoop of a cradle board. In old times this netting was made of nettle fiber. Two spider webs were usually hung on the hoop, and it was said that they “caught any harm that might be in the air as a spider’s web catches and holds whatever comes in contact with it’.
What is a Dreamcatcher?
Traditionally the Dreamcatcher is a handmade charm drenched in Knot Magic Power. It consists of a Willow hoop on which a spider web is woven. Its use is not confined to only driving off bad dreams. The Dreamcatcher’s purpose is to protect children not only from nightmares, but from all causes of bad luck and misfortune.
This common misunderstanding probably comes from the Native American’s belief, that all caused of bad luck, ill health and misfortune is actually the result of a spiritual agent. In other words, diseased, sudden deaths, accidents and other unfortunate events are caused by spirits.
How does the Dreamcatcher Work?
There are two theories of how the Dreamcatchers Work.
The Portal Theory: According to this belief (which makes more sense), the Dreamcatcher is nothing but a spiritual portal, an instrument of Great Goddess. It acts like a sigil, conjuring her Divine powers over the room where the dreamcatcher is placed. This is why it is hang over cradles or beds. Asibikaashi, the spider goddess, will bless the room with her magic and trap all evil agents and spirits on her web. The Great Goddess shall not let evil pass through this space because Evil is afraid of the Her.
The Dream Web: According to another popular theory, all dreams are attracted by the woven spider web. However, only good dream can pass through as the bad one are stuck on the web. Hence, when hang ever cradles and beds, a dreamcatcher ensures that anyone can have a good night sleep without any nightmares or bad dreams.
How to Make a Dreamcatcher
In order to make a dreamcatcher you need to:
Get a willow bark to create a hoop
Weave a spider net in it

There are of course many do-it-yourself kits like this in Amazon where you get all you need to create it. I personally believe that once you make it you weave the net with your magical intention. Hence it’s more powerful.
Dreamcatchers are charms who drive off evil. This is why they need proper cleansing. Hence, you either place the dreamcatcher where it can be exposed to sunlight or you should periodically manually place it outside when sun shines. This will ensure that the dreamcatcher work effectively and undistracted.

How to Enchant an Object – Advanced Ways & Ideas.
These are magical elements to employ in order to empower your enchanting.
Start by creating a holy space. Cast a Magic Circle.

Every full moon day is an ideal moment to charge our energy and ask for the fulfillment of our wishes. It is also the time to set new goals for the coming moon phase.
While in most cases we direct our magic efforts in order to get some personal achievements, it would be great to take advantage of this night in order to serve the greater good. The moonlight is shed upon our planet, its nature and humanity. It is high time that witches joined their forces to request a change that could influence larger groups.
It is then a great opportunity to organize a gathering of witches outdoors for performing a group mediation and to cast a spell. This will bring your witchy friends together and enhance the spirituality of every individual separately.
Getting prepared
A group meditation can consist of two ore more people, although an ideal number would be five persons.
Find a quiet place outdoors, where (hopefully) you will remain undistracted from “intruders” or any noise caused by human activity.
Be sure you will be able dedicate at least 3 hours in the evening or at night for the ritual. Being in rush will ruin the good vibrations of the team.
One of the group should be the “leader” or the facilitator of the ritual.
Make clear in advance what you are going to pray for. Is this about the spiritual awakening of humanity or the healing of physical or psychological problems of a certain person? It can be pretty about everything yet try to think bigger than your current personal needs. Meditating for an important universal cause is enforcing and reveals a gentle heart.
Write down the spell you want to recite as a team. Use your own words, like “We gather here tonight to generate the vibration of world peace to the entire planet. And so it is.” It can also be more elaborated. However, try to remain succinct.
It is favorable to wear something in light colors so that the moonlight can reflect upon you. Having a silver coin or jewelry on you is also suggested.
Candles or incense are not necessary. The Moonlight and the scent of Nature should suffice. You can place however a Pentagram or another symbol in the middle of the circle.
Performing the Spell
When you get gathered, you form a circle by holding hands. The facilitator of the ritual should not stand separated from the others (in center of the circle or in front of the other persons). You can decide whether you will sit or stand, although sitting may be better since you are going to be in an altered state because of meditation.
The facilitator counts ten steps in slow, steady voice:
“Close your eyes. As I count up from one to ten, imagine yourself leaving your physical body and drawing closer to the Moon.
One: Breathe deeply, exhale slowly.
Two: Breathe deeply, exhale again slowly.
Three: Feel yourself ascending toward the light of the Moon.
Four: Sense the energy of the Moon coming closer to you.
Five: Keep having your eyes close and exhale slowly.
Six: As you exhale, release all negative thoughts you are holding inside you and are tormenting you from the past up to now.
Seven: Feel the vibration of the Moon’s light. As it embraces us, we are more connected to the earth but still we are approaching the Moon. Our spirit expands as the light does.
Eight: We are connected with the Light of the Moon. We are part of Her Luminous Sphere.
Nine: We absorb the power of Her Light and we can be in every directions this travels. Let us just be one with the Universe. We are part of the Cosmic Soul.
Ten: Continue to keep your eyes closed, and I will now recite our meditation. Listen!”
At this point the facilitator recites the Spell that the team has already written down. At the end the facilitator says “And so it is.” The group may repeat those words.
The facilitator now recites:
“We must now slowly return from this level of mind. As I count back from ten to one, see yourself descending to the earth.
“Ten, nine, eight, seven—the Moon’s energy is still with you . . . Six, five, four—visualize our group below. Three, two—you are now back in your body. One—open your eyes.”
After the team members have opened their eyes, each person can spend some time for themselves. You can gaze at the Moon, meditate or sharing thoughts about the experience.

So, what steps should you take:
I. Find a secluded natural place. Usually a forest but also a long beach or a cave. Be sure however that you are totally safe in all aspects.
II. Avoid wearing metal objects, with the exception of silver. Any other metal will drive them away.
III. Try to be quite and serene. There is no chance they will appear in front of you if you are yelling or singing or being no elegant at all.
IV. Have a small gift for them, depending on what you would like to attract. No food, or books or jewelry of course. A piece of colorful cloth, flowers, a nice drawing, a candle. Stuff like that.
V. Generally, don’t disclose your experience to others, at least while it is happening. It is not a matter of boasting about it. Be gracious about the experience and share it with people who are not vulgar and can appreciate it on a spiritual level.
There is an inner compass in our souls which drives our destiny. While we experience the majestic journey of life we truly come before difficult or some not so difficult choices. YES! It’s true! We are all born intuitive because we all have a soul. Hence we all have access to this Spiritual Realm no matter how hard we deny it. And yes, this power can be accessed by anyone. We can all learn how to listen to our inner voice if we try to ‘quiet the material noise’. Which brings us to the next step.
Two Ways to Listen to your inner voice
Step One. Silence the ‘material noise’
It’s not that easy. You see, although our inner voice is truly powerful, the ‘material noise’ is so thick sometimes, that silences our intuitive powers. This ‘material noise’ comes from our personal views, our traumatic experiences and our dogmatic beliefs. However, one must understand that this is who we are, what makes our personality. The ‘material noise’ is not our enemy, it’s our ally. We just need to silence this noise and listen to our inner voice.

Step Two: Empower the ‘Inner Voice’
Now that you made peace, you need to empower the inner voice and make it even more clear. To do so you need to vibrate higher and become one with the ‘Universal Wisdom’ which is part of your soul. When you are vibrating high, you have nothing to be afraid of. You cannot be influenced by negative thoughts or dogmatic beliefs.
Vibrate higher!This is a very important step. Don’t try to explain others about your intuition. You can always talk with you buds but don’t pay attentio to those you ‘don’t believe in magic’. Trust me, when you start to know what coming, they will come back begging for answers.
Meditate: You can start by practicing the Hatha Yoga breathing exercise. Now, just simply pay attention to what your inner voice is telling you.
Keep track with your Dreams. As told many times before in our magazine, this is a magical hack, to get into your inner voice. Read the dreams from time to time. See how it touches you and how many things you learn via dreams. The more you practice that, the more you are going to strengthen your inner voice.

David Jester is a British author. He recently published his novel The Clinic: A Thriller. The book has been appraised (or criticized) for being gruesome and gory.
After doing some research, Jester also claimed that most serial killers were born in the period between April 20 and May 20.
This means that they were all Taureans!
Although significant serial killers under the sign of Taurus are less than the Geminis or Virgos, there have been some of the most bloodthirsty ones.
One of the most notable serial killers ever has been H. H. Holmes who acted in the 19th century. Although only a few of his murders were confirmed, rumors wanted him to have killed more than 200 persons in a sort of a “Murder Castle” in order to lure therein, kill and hide or burn the corpses there.

Are some zodiac signs more murderous than others?
Well, this is a tough question. First of all, it should be said that all signs have their share when it comes to murderous records. Pisces, Geminis, Taurus and Virgos score high. Aries, Scorpios, Sagittarius and Capricorns can also display representatives in the serial killing records while Cancers, Leos, Libras and Aquarius have less cases to show.
Still, the statistics does not mean that the zodiac signs at the bottom of the list could not turn to lunatic murderers. For example, Genene Anne Jones, which was a nurse suspected for the death of more than 60 infants, has born as a sensitive Cancer.
Surely, becoming a serial killer is a failure in managing aggressivity and instincts that surpass any zodiac sign characteristic. However, some tendencies may be revealing.
One of the most famous tests that can help us categorize individuals into personality types is the “Myers–Briggs Type Indicator” (MBTI). This questionnaire was designed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. The test hinges on the conceptual theory of Carl Yung to a great extent with certain alterations.
The definition of a personality type is possible through self-evaluation on the base of four dichotomies:

Thinking / Feeling

The combination of these pairs yields 16 possible combinations. The rarest of them is the INFJ, namely the Introversion – iNtuition – Feeling – Judging type. The last characteristic, the Judging parameter, makes these people unique since these contrasts with the previous features. This type of personality is moral, creative and sensitive but also with a sense of duty. So, there are not idle dreamers, but they want to apply their idealism in praxis. Thus, they combine empathy with a practical mind. That’s why the persons having this kind of personality can make good consultants, Teachers and Psychiatrists.

10 signs you belong to the INFJ personality type
The most secure way to detect your personality type is to undertake a test developed from specialists. Still, there are certain signs that may indicate that you are a INFJ personality as well. The signs are:
1. You have the feeling you are lonesome and different

According to a study conducted by the University of Seattle and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, women retain and store male DNA in their brains.
Initially, the study sought to find if women that are pregnant with a son may be run a greater risk of getting affected by certain mental diseases. These diseases are more frequent among males.
However, the results astounded the researchers.
What a female can do!
The Researchers revealed that women’s brain can host male DNA. This is possible to a phenomenon called “male microchimerism”. According to Wikipedia, microchimerism “is the presence of a small number of cells that originate from another individual and are therefore genetically distinct from the cells of the host individual.”
The afore-mentioned research disclosed that 63% of the women that participated to the research hosted male DNA cells in their brain.
Along general lines, this could be possible if a woman bore a male fetus. Yet, not all women who harbored male DNA had been pregnant. Other explanations were that these women had an abortion they did not know about, they had a male twin that vanished, or due to an older brother through maternal circulation.
Still, these criteria did not apply to most of the investigated women. So, what was going on?
The awkward (?) answer seems to be that sex was the reason for these observations. Women could retain the DNA of male lovers given that their sperm come in touch with the female body. Sperm has the opportunity to penetrate the female body and reach their brain. And then it remains there forever.
It is difficult to evaluate what this exactly means for the female organism. But is an indication how intense the sexual connection can be on several levels.
Obviously, sexual contact can be spiritually metaphysical but also physically amazing!

Religious Tolerance in U.S. army allows beard for a Pagan devotee of Thor
The legends of Thor are not only inspiring in art and music. They still have a role to play in daily lives of adherents of adherents of the traditional religions that people use to call “heathens”.
Thus, recently a U.S. soldier asked for a permission to keep his beard on religious reasons. The request of the soldier, who renamed anonymous, was granted. The commander of the 795th Military Police Battalion Colonel Curtis Shroedero responded to the request in the following words: “I grant your accommodation, subject to the standards and limitations described below.”
The decision was possible due to the fact that the U.S. Army strives to accommodate for more religious freedom. The decision to tolerate beards, turbans or hijabs mostly oriented to religious minorities within the U.S. army such as the Sikh or Muslim troops. Now, the decision is extended to the Heathens.
Despite the fact that beards are not obligatory in traditional European religions, they obviously contribute to the pagan lifestyle. Besides, Thor wore a red-haired beard, if we believe the Danish saying: Thor med sit lange skæg (“Thor with the long beard”).

Beards in the Army? Pros and Cons
Generally, beards are not (anymore) welcome in the troops. There are practical reasons for this prohibition. After the First World War, the invention of chemical warfare brought together the gas masks. Thus, the beards could not fit inside them.
But it was not only because of safety reasons. In the past, the trend was for a “decent” soldier to be perfectly shaved. Only in special cases beards are allowed. For example in operations in Middle East, beards were allowed so that the soldiers could mingle with the local population.
There is one saying according to which there is no nation without shed blood and no love without shed tears. Some analyses use to insist on the fact that healthy relationships should be harmonious and creative. Still, passionate affairs are always the opposite. They seem to be so counterproductive, full of conflicts and disputes. And they oscillate between hate and love.
This can be exhaustive, but it is still typical. Surely, if you have to deal with a systematically abusive or conspicuously aggressive partner, you immediately have to consult a psychologist so that you release yourself from a toxic and harmful relationship. Yet, along general lines, a love affair without tensions is generally considered as tedious and without challenge.

Difficult partners mirror our personality
The opposites attract each other but, often, beyond a superficial controversy, there may exist an underlying similarity. This can be a positive factor for an erotic liaison. Still, in some cases it can be annoying, since it brings us in front of our own weaknesses and flaws. Two egoists or unreliable partners will have a hard time loving each other. Once realized, one should regard the relationship as a chance to confront their one dark sides and surpass it. See a difficult partner that you really love as a gift of the universe and work together to overcome your flaws.
A Carmic Lesson
Some relationships cause us wounds from which however we want to sustain and go through. What seems a “masochistic capriccio” is sometimes a destiny for cleaning our Carma. Two persons may come together because their love is a reincarnated one and their souls meet again to solve their issues. Or, there is a psychic bond that brings two people in a love affair and their encounter is a lesson for both that will eventually lead to their self-improvement and a deeper connection. This may not be obvious at the beginning, but gradually the tension will lead to the development of both parts.
Antithesis & Synthesis
The German Philosopher Hegel referred to a creative “dialectic”, that means a meeting of arguments. At a first stage, the two theories or ideologies (or nations and classes) clash against each other, in peace or in war. But, through this conflict, this antithesis, something new will emerge that combines elements of both previous tendencies. This will be a synthesis. This can also happen with a couple. Two totally distinct characters will confront each other initially. Nevertheless, a passionate love can be like a stage of war. And as the Ancient Greek Philosopher Heraklitus wrote: “War is the Father of Everything”.
Love is besides a battlefield, right?
So, unless you are really object of an affair that is obviously unbalanced, miserable or toxic, do not hesitate to select a partner that will challenge your intellect and your emotional and spiritual world. And even if a relationship cannot go on, you have been taught a useful lesson for the future.
Dreams emerge from the depths of our unconsciousness. They reveal secret desires, fears as well as abilities we may not be aware of. Not rarely, we even surprise our own self with what our inner self conceals in the realm of dreams.
If dreams possess such an inherent power, is it possible to use them as a means of spiritual awakening?
In yogic tradition, there is a concept called sadhana. The modern spiritual teacher and yogi Sadhgurudefines the term in these words:
Everything can be sadhana. The way you eat, the way you sit, the way you stand, the way you breathe, the way you conduct your body, mind and your energies and emotions – this is sadhana. Sadhana does not mean any specific kind of activity, sadhana means you are using everything as a tool for your wellbeing.
Hence, we can use dreams towards our awakening. This may sound contradictory. Yet, it is throughout possible!
Lucid Dreaming and Dream Yoga
‘Buddha’ means ‘The Awaken One’ in Sanskrit. But awaken from what? The whole life is a short of dream, since we are in the state of Maya, or Cosmic Illusion. As our life is all dream-like, dreams are not less illusory as our state of “wide-awakeness”. However, dreams are somehow more candid, and they resemble the spirit while this processes to death.
At this point we have to tell you guys how much we enjoyed all the work of Charlie Morley. We do believe he is a perfect teacher in these subjects and you can find his (already best-selling) work throughout Amazon or any other bookstore really. I did had the time to enjoy him in Mindvalley with his comprehensive lessons and optimistic attitude. No spooky stuff. Just true knowledge drenched in fun and creativity.
In Tibetan tradition, Lucid dreams and Dream Yoga can incite an experience from transmission from the level of this existence to its sequence. But also, dreams are truth-tellers and they can teach us how to cope with spiritual issues of our daily life.
Lucid Dreaming and Dream Yoga are interrelated but not identical terms.
In Lucid Dreaming a person is aware of the fact that she/ he is dreaming. The person then can experience every dream in a way that responds to our physical body. This can be fun! We may have intensive erotic dreams or dreaming of being invincible and or flying. The lucidity of the dreams enables us to term them not merely to phantasy but to a short of experience.
To achieve Dream Lucidity, one has to channel its consciousness towards this goal. This is a meditative process and demands devotion that comes after time. But once Lucidity is achieved, the ability to trigger this sort of dreams will be yours!
And this is where the “yoga part” should make the scene. Quiet like what we do with other activities, we can turn our dreams to a yoga exercise of the mind. This can lead us to a higher awareness gradually. Dream Yoga is a way to train our mind into operating in a distinct mode. Consciousness will not surrender to oblivion and lethargy, but it will actively transform itself.
There are certain techniques to practice dream yoga. Basically, what is required are:

Good Dream Recall and Mnemonic methods
Induction techniques during the day, like marking dreamsigns, meditation and a proper healthy diet that boost memory.
Three Types of Yoga Dreams
Yoga dreams can be classified into three Categories:
Carmic or “Samsaric” Dreams with no innate meaning. These are open for us to bring them a meaning towards our spiritual objectives. They derive from our psyche and expect for us to interpret our inner wishes.
Non-Carmic Dreams are the ones that can transform our lives. They are a sort of mental call and reveal our spiritual destiny.
Clear Light Dreams are difficult to interpret from a dualistic point of view. They suggest a higher state of awareness and connection with the Absolute.

His name is Leonidas, like the Spartan King who confronted the Persians with his 300 fighters against all the odds. “Nomen est omen” said the Romans, the name is an omen, and this is true for the case of a 34 years old Greek called after the ancient King.
Until 2008, the young Greek was dedicating his life to the things he cherished the most: trekking, his favorite football team, Olympiakos, and his beloved music, punk. But in this this year Leonidas went through a terrible car accident that left him paraplegic, that means with a severe impairment of the function of the lower extremities.
However, Leonidas did not surrender himself into self-pity and distress. He went on enjoying punk concerts and the football matches. And he did not stop there: Leonidas participated in demonstrations and other social activities, turning his disability into a sign of courage and inspiration.

Within this ambience of charming madness, Leonidas made one more “crazy decision”: To climb on the peak of the mountain Olympus, the highest mountain located in the Greek prefecture of Macedonia. Olympus was of course a holy mountain for the Ancient Greeks and the symbolism here is quite powerful. Young Leonidas wants to make it up to the residence of the Greek Gods.
A group of friends did not only vow to assist Leonidas in his courageous enterprise. They also filmed the accomplishment in a documentary called “Back to the Top”. The film was screened for the first time at the 20th Film Festival of Thessaloniki.
The producer of the film, Ioanna Petinaraki, referred to the fact that at the beginning everyone believed that Leonidas will fail to succeed. Yet, “when Leonidas got on the first peak, we all became so emotional. We knew inside us that we will make it! We saw that sometimes life demands us to be rude.”
“It’s hard to hear the doctor telling you “dude, you are not going to walk again. Got it?”. But I did not want to feel bad with myself. And somewhow I was lucky in my misfortune” Leonidas says.

Olympus: the beloved mountain
Leonidas had this accident after he was returning from an excursion on Olympus. Therefore, the place haunted him. But he never turned the back to the beloved mountain.
“Since my accident I went to Olympus, on lower heights. I made it up to the second highest peak. But my thought was on the highest one. Difficult, but maybe one day I could make it. The thought was always in my mind, it devoured me.”
And Leonidas fulfilled his goal! And along with his accomplishment, a documentary was produced in order to show the power of his will.
“This documentary refers to everyone that do not give up. The ones who keep on fighting, to people with or without handicap, to prisoners, to the impoverished ones, to refugees, to mentally ills. Generally, it is for all of them whom this f***ing society marginalized.”

Phase 3. The Procedure to Summon Angels.

You take a pink candle and a pink piece of paper.
